About Candle by Events
Candle by Events runs unique team building events, parties, workshops and activity days based around the skills of candle-making.
In our flagship events – Generation game meets Dragons Den, staff are first shown several candle-making techniques and then split into groups and set the challenge of manufacturing a new range of candles and creating a successful, profitable business concept, which they pitch to their colleagues and leadership team.
Working creatively in teams they design and make their own range of candles and packaging. They choose raw materials, calculate manufacturing costs and profit margins, and then produce a pitch good enough for the Dragons (your leadership team and our candle experts)! Prizes are awarded for originality, innovation and profitability. Teams also keep their candle creations as a memory of the event and their performance.
This activity simulates an end-to-end business process: from the initial concept, through design of product, manufacturing, quality control, packaging and promotion. It’s a challenging, fun, team development exercise, which relies on co-operation and teamwork to ensure the best results. The workshop provides the opportunity to develop and practice skills such as effective communication, setting priorities, working collaboratively, innovation, leadership and presentation skills.
It’s unique, motivating and engaging – ensuring your staff deliver their best team performance. We run sessions indoors or outdoors, at your premises, hotel or conference centre.
We also run ice-breaker sessions (for example before your company’s annual conference or sales meeting); company parties; activity workshops and corporate family fun days.
